BIOGRAPHY
My BA is in Teaching Chinese as Second Language, my MA is Chinese Language and Literature. As a teacher of Chinese, I have not only an excellent command of the Chinese language, but also a great deal of cultural knowledge. I believe that all language classes should include as much authentic material as possible so that students may relate to the culture, not just the language. This helps to motivate a student to learn and connect with another culture, something that is very important in today's world.

EXPERIENCE
I tutored secondary and elementary level students and teaching Mandarin at a university at the moment. My teaching style is communicative. Though I place emphasis on the ability to communicate ideas, I also stress grammar and vocabulary. All the skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening) are fundamental to becoming proficient in a second language. My classes focus on mastering all skills and the methods are meaningful and relevant to the age of the student I tutor.

Note:
1. The above rates are based on 2+ hours of teaching per time. If you study ﹤2 hours per time, expect a 25%-50% raise in rates or consider on-line tutoring.
2. Final prices might vary according to the tutor's popularity, commuting distance, time and frequency of lessons (within ± 20% range). Confirmation shall be given after booking.
3. If you prefer to study in a group instead of 1-1, you need to find other students and form the group on your own.
One-time Service Fee:
400rmb for 1-1 private tuition regardless of tutoring length. If you study in a group, there will be a 200rmb surcharge on service fee for each additional student studying in the group. Textbook, if used, is to be paid separately by the actual price of the book. What service do I get?
Min. Hours:
Minimum 40 tutoring hours are required for us to process any booking.
